After paying his dues with the Buena Vista Social Club, charming (Agnes b-clad) pianist Roberto Fonseca made this great world-jazz album. He has a gift for melody, demonstrated in tracks such as Clandestino and El Niejo plus a rhythmic virtuosity that can hold its own on any jazz stage.
